the second edition of the A-Cat Alpen Cup is over and I'm very proud for the big success: the sailors are increased up to 139, this means 7% more than last year und the average participants to every regatta is also increasing.

The reason is that the A-Cat Alpen Cup is funny and the regulation is working very well.

Congratulation to Sascha Wallmer, the 2007 winner, and to Bob Baier that arrived very close to Sascha. Third place for Matthias Dietz that, together with Ekkehart von Selzam, took part to all five regattas 2007!

For next year we confirm Riva del Garda (ITA), Ascona (SUI) and Marseille (FRA) and then we’ve two news: the Austrian colleagues will organize their regatta at Bodensee (Austrian Championship) at the same place where will held, in May 2009, the European Championship. The German regatta will be at Chiemsee, also a very nice place.

Many thanks to Christian Ugolini that improved our website, now we have also a forum (please try to write in English!) and a announces page. Thanks also to the colleagues of A-Cat Alpen Cup Committee that are supporting our activities in a very positive way.
